Multimedia Designer

A multimedia designer is an expert generalist — combining creative vision and technical versatility across design, photography, video, and digital media to craft cohesive, engaging visual experiences.

In my role as Multimedia Designer at U-M’s School of Social Work, I’ve taken on a wide range of responsibilities within the Marketing and Communications team — many of which extend beyond the work shown below. My core responsibilities include photography for commencement and other school events, graphic design for promotional materials, creating digital signage throughout the SSW building, and developing web banners for the school’s website. I also manage email communications through Constant Contact on behalf of several departments, distribute newsletters for the Dean’s office, collaborate with other units to produce promotional materials, and coordinate with external vendors for printed pieces.

Through this work, I’ve embraced the role of an “expert generalist,” continuously expanding my skill set and adapting to new challenges. Looking ahead, I’m eager to continue leveraging my video production, storyboarding, editing, and animation skills — while maintaining the versatility that allows me to keep learning and growing across creative disciplines.
